Susan Knight was a student at Neptune High and close friend of Carrie Bishop. Susan had a secret affair with popular teacher, Mr. Rooks, that resulted in her becoming pregnant with a child she later gave up for adoption. She decided against pressing charges against him, but Carrie thought he should face the consequences of his actions and accused him of having an affair with herself, using details of his habits gleaned from Susan.
After proving that Mr. Rooks was innocent of the affair with Carrie, Veronica discovers the truth and finds Susan, resulting in Mr Rooks' resignation from the Neptune High faculty.
After graduation, Susan Knight died while drinking and doing drugs on a boat with friends. They panicked and used an anchor to weigh her body to the bottom of the ocean.
